(1)  Switchplates - How are they made?

Each switchplate is handmade using the decoupage technique. This technique involves high quality images printed on high quality paper and permanently sealed to the switchplate.  Then, several layers of professional protectants are applied to the switchplate to give it a beautiful, lasting finish. They simply wipe clean!
Screws: Each plate comes with set of screws in white or ivory color. Please specify your color preference at the checkout.

(2)  Can I wash the switchplates?

Yes, certainly.  Simply wipe clean your switchplate using a lightly damp washcloth.  Avoid the use of windex and other commercial cleaning products as they may possibly dull the finish of your plate.

(3)  How do I know if the switchplates will fit my light switch?

All light switches are basically standardized and our plates should work fine in your home.  All of our plates are considered "mid sized" which is just slightly larger than a standard plate.  This is an "upgraded plate" and is most useful when replacing existing light switch plates with new decorative ones since the older plates may leave a slight mark when removed.  For those needing a larger plate to hide a larger hole in the wall, we do offer jumbo sizes in the single, double, triple and quad switches for only a small extra fee.  If, for any reason, the plate doesn't fit or doesn't suit your needs, you may return it within 30 days for a refund - no problem. Please refer to our return policy below.

(4)  Switchplate size - I can't find my exact size.  Do you do custom orders? 

We certainly can.  Please just email us your request at and we'll provide you with a reasonable quote. 

(5)  Switchplate Color - 'm trying to match to my existing paint color - can you match to paint colors?

Yes.  No problem.  Please just either provide us with either a paint chip or the color name (from Duron, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, etc.), and we'll create a beautiful custom plate to match your room.  For more details, please email us at info@sassyswitches.com.

Orders typically ship within 2 to 3 weeks of the order date. Special orders with unusual plate combinations can take up to 4 weeks. Please don't hesitate to reach us if you'd like the status of your order by emailing us at info@sassyswitches.com.

Plain metal, plastic or nylon plates typically ship in 2 to 3 weeks, although some of our more popular plates may be in stock and will be shipped immediately upon order.  Please contact us for stock availability.

(7) Can I cancel my order?

All cancellations are subject to 4.5% charge.

(8)  Switchplate Return Policy - What is your return policy?

If you are dissatisfied with your Sassy Switchplate for any reason, please send your order back in the original packaging within 30 days, and we will be happy to exchange it or provide you with a refund. All opened, damaged and used items are subject to 30% restock fee.  Please note that any return shipping fees are to be incurred by the customer.  Important: The return policy does not apply to customer's design orders and shipping fees.  We will be glad to exchange your wall plates if you ordered wrong size or configuration.  

(9)  What are your shipping and handling fees?

Standard Delivery - shipped by U.S. First Class Mail, typically arrives in about 3 weeks. Cost per order for unlimited plates is $3.95.
Express Shipment** - shipped by U.S. Priority Mail within 5 business days, should arrive within 8-9 days. Cost per order is $20.00 (Note: Limit 20 plates).
Rush Shipment** - shipped by U.S. Express Mail within 5 business days, should arrive within 5-6 days. Cost per order is $45 (Note: If your order exceeds 20 plates, please email us for rush shipment quotes). Your order is generally made within three days that the order is received and then shipped within 2 days (to allow the adequate curing time).
* -Special shipping and handling rate does not apply to orders shipped to Canada.
** -Express and Rush shipments are available only for switchplates with design.  Some custom styles and sizes may not be available for Express and Rush shipments.

(12)  What sort of payments options do you have?  Do I have to give a credit card online or may I call in my order?

We are pleased to be able to offer our customers a variety of payment options: MasterCard, Visa, EuroCard, American Express, Discover/Novus, Diners Club, JCB, US$ Checks, Eurochecks, Wire Transfers, Pay Pal.  Payments can be made online or by fax, by mail or by telephone.   Information for each of these options can be found on the order page when you checkout. 

(13)  Is it safe for me to provide you with a credit card number online?  What are your procedures?

Yes, it's probably safer than giving it over the phone which can easily be tapped.  We provide our customers with the highest level of encryption allowed by the United States government throughout the entire order and setup processes.  This encryption applies to all order pages, through the storage of customer information, and credit card processing (which is handled by Wells Fargo, one of the largest and most trusted financial institutions.)

We follow all internet standards for validating credit cards such as AVS, CVV2 as well as our own fraud detection and prevention mechanisms which evaluate and verify many variables during the order process such as valid email addresses, names, addresses, zip codes, cross checking ip addresses against locations, zip codes and states.  We also employ other more automatic mechanisms for both your and our protection.
